I think that however you meet someone whether in person or opine, its important to have a good since of discernment when stepping into the dating world. I believe that online dating can be a positive experience, there are success stories however if the first impression you get of them is there rear end haha them come on now, sometimes people can use a little bit of common since and ask themselves what this persons motives may really be.

The earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof, and those that dwell within!!
    (Psalm 24:1)

God can use whatever means He chooses to bring two people together. Spiritual discernment works on Christian Dating sites as well.(that is, if you have it to begin with)

If the Lord is leading you to marriage, you may meet your mate at church, in the store or online! If you don’t have intimate knowledge of God’s Word, you’ll be fooled whether you meet someone online or offline! (John 10:27)

    *from what point..

  • freenunfetteredmatt6 says:

The Bible doesn’t specify from what Mary was betrothed to Joseph. I saw a Christian program that made it seem like she was about 12, 13, or 14.

Another thought: I’ve always believed that online dating services in general offer opportunities for sort of ‘manufactured’ romance. I don’t think you can beat meeting someone face to face and letting the Lord lead you from that point on.

the Christophers are SOOO funny! lol I personally prefer meeting people the conventional way, namely FACE to FACE. I think that too many things are lost in internet space. It’s more difficult to discern who is for real and who is just a joke through the computer, I think. And if I’ve learned anything, discernment is key in choosing the right person to roll with for more than 5 minutes.

Nevermind I don’t care bout all that. If u read the bible then good for u. But the bible didnt say Online Dating is right or wrong. So it’s like everyone here is contradicting the bible….WHICH IS WRONG!!!!!!!!!!
Thats my point. And im done

  • deshonj says:

Laughable. Your reply seems condesending, but I won’t argue or debate. Besides, how would you know if I have read it or not? You assume I haven’t. Why is that?

  • SydneyTaylorA says:

it’s not gonna tell u exactly.
U have to know what your reading…
First you have to read it! It seems like the way you contradict scripture you haven’t really read and understood the bible. So…..SCRIPTURE says everything, but it’s obviously not going to tell you straight up

  • deshonj says:

It’s a modern thing. It’s not wrong by itself. Like most things, it’s what we humans do with it that is the problem.

  • deshonj says:

Right. Scripture says to eat microwave food, right? Yes, the Scriptures give us instructions and guidance to live a prudent and holy life. They even tell us how to obey the Most High. But Christian Dating? I’m still waiting for someone to tell me what that is…

    Let’s see:
    Christian Dating
    Christian Popcorn
    Christian Clothes
Christian Money (I like that one, j/k)

    Where does it end?

Dating is a wordly concept. It’s not even mentioned in the Scriptures.

  • SydneyTaylorA says:

    Scripture says everything!

  • SydneyTaylorA says:

dating online is just not natural really….

  • hnmchick says:

I think you can date online but it’s all in how you carry yourself. You can only date church members, never touch a website and still be a undercover ho. So if somebody is gonna date with the label christian attached they should have class or leave it alone. And there is no need to get intimate with everybody they talk to. Even if you just kiss don’t be a kissin ho!

Christian online dating??? Idk, it’s not something that I’m into or feel that we as Christians should be doing. Especially if we’re presenting ourselves as you said you seen the young lady. But that’s not for me to judge…personally NO. I would never have anything to do with online dating of any kind but I couldn’t tell you how God feels about it. I don’t think He approves of it but that’s just my own opinion.

I hope you all get some more comments on this. Very Interesting!

  • deshonj says:

Don’t you know? Everybody claims to be “a Christian”. For real. Miryam was promised to Yosef from birth? Hmm. Maybe. The Scriptures don’t say. But. What is Christian Dating anyway?

  • deshonj says:

    A virtual hoe… What!

  • purpturt says:

you guys are hilarious. i don’t think christian online dating is bad unless you make it bad…like that lady evidently did. lol
