One of Japans best ever songs, very original sound and texture.Steve Jansen and Mick Karn are as right on the ball as ever!

When they started wearing makeup they were surrounded by Punk… couldn’t be more punk that rebelling against the common fashion trend of punk.

Maybe you ought to move somewhere else.

Preferisco i denti di David Sylvian a quelli di Alessandra Mastronardi!

  • fabriziopiludu says:

    David Silvian had nice teeth.

  • eius888 says:

The whole song is incredible but the bassline is simply amazing…only one guy in the world that could play that!

  • JimmyTee73 says:

Sylvian was the man! What a song this is :D

  • redrightbear says:

Great song and incredibily complex score. The midi of this song has all 32 tracks used up with a different voice per channel..

  • fabriziopiludu says:

If Mick Karn were throw out, Japan would not be dead!

  • stuartangelsx4 says:

Bowie, Roxy???? Had to be a love child.

  • Eizelle67 says:

Sorry but you’re wrong, if you say, they sound like every other band at this time. Especially the Tin Drum Album. I cant remember any other who sound like this.

  • OldishMusic says:

When I say long live it doesn’t have to actually mean the band itself. But it would have been great to see them go for a few more years. And David’s voice to me is more unique than any other’s in that period of time. That teamed with the uniqueness of the songs and music is just pure genius.

And to be a pain in the ass; LONG LIVE JAPA N.

  • OldishMusic says:

    You have sense! =D

  • Agrati1 says:

Great video; absolute classic! Check out ebay for Japan & Sylvian items 4 sale

  • paintedship says:

nobody is arguing who is better, it’s just simply DD fans coming here to bash Japan videos.

  • indiareed says:

I love the fact that people are arguing over DD VS. Japan. Both bands were/are great – since DD is still around touring and making music. I personally think Nick totally stole his look from David, but even if he did, seriously…who cares? Listen to both and enjoy both…BOTH bands are awesome and had an impact on the music scene and their fans.

  • paintedship says:

yeah I don’t think Nick Rhodes took any pointers from him, sigh…

  • paintedship says:

seriously you sound like a troll at this point, if you don’t like it don’t listen

  • Dhyanyogilove says:

I am sitting here watching the video again. I think the singer is a woman pretending to be a man pretending to be a woman. Victor, Victoria, anyone?

  • Dhyanyogilove says:

Of course not. DD is steps above Japan.

  • Dhyanyogilove says:

Long live? They died a long time ago. David Sylvian’s voice sounds the same as any other generic British New Wave group.
